Programing

I did extensive programming in the early 1980s in Extended interpreted BASIC. In the late 1990s, I did programming in QBASIC. Recently I have been programming in HTML and beginning Java. I'm a a volunteer with the Orleans County, NY genealogy site and have converted about 1,300 files for them from the First Choice Word Processor and text files to HTML. I use notepad as the HTML editor. The genealogy site was never intended to be fancy because its main purpose is to make the information available and to be updated periodically.

Examples of HTML programming:
                  This site
Hales Technologies - This was my first commercial site.
Hales Technologies - This is their current site.

Repair

I have been repairing my own computers for 23 years. I recently worked at Microworx as a repair technician for 19 months. This involved both hardware repairs & upgrades (486s to Pentium 4s) and software repairs, usually caused by viruses. The systems included all versions of Windows since Windows 3.0 except NT 3.x.

Church Computer Specialist

I have been assisting church leaders with computer problems since 1993. In 2004 I was called as Assistant Stake Clerk (Computers) and worked with Brother Locke in the stake's upgrade to MLS.
