1880 census CD - Collins Jr. says EnglandCollins Hill was born in Scotland and his wife was a French Woman with a bit of Spanish blood in her veins. In appearance we are told she was short with hair and eyes of midnight hue.
To us as descendants of Collins Hill, the name SHAW is of great importance for no fewer than five Shaw maidens took the name Hill. They were children of Peter Shaw, who was born in England in 1763, and his wife Elizabeth Harvey, also born in England in 1773.
